I hadn’t heard of the upcoming movie “9” by Shane Acker until I came across the trailer this morning, but now I’m pretty excited. It looks phenomenal.
I don’t know much about it. IMDB says, “A post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened.” After a big of googling it looks like it is based on a short film also created by Shane Acker. You can watch the short on YouTube, but be warned it contains possible spoilers.
The stylistic animation is reminiscent of steam-punk art. Reminds me of the Fallout games.
Also, incase your wondering, the song used in the trailer is by Coheed and Cambria, and is beautiful.
