Ever since I started posting on this site there have been a variety of large hiatus between posts. So here’s another one of those attempts to start posting again. I’m a soon to be college graduate and the world keeps screaming at me “Network young one! Network!”

Here’s a ditty I wrote a few weeks ago while lying in bed in between suffocating snow storms in northern Minnesota. I’m so close to breaking free from this bared up cell of a life!

Tenant

Four concrete thick walls on either side.
Your own private white box embraced top
to bottom on the side front and backslide.

Up top slow bass beats fabricated
from multiple pattering notes breaks through.
From left to the right and then abated.

Behind, at the head sounds a thumping
life-making, for love or for recreation.
No mind it’s a proper friendly pumping.

Up from underneath acoustics bounced
up cold metal insides. Desperate calls
help, love, attention, out and announced.

At foot is but merriment ringing
through the layers that split this tenant out,
turns these blues into jazz scat singing.

Remember this is not Spam.
