Your probably already know this, but incase you were un-aware Bungie announced yesterday that they are in fact working on Halo 3. News that although Bungie had said nothing about it yet was not in the least surprising.

You might want to check out The FAQ, where they talking about the making of the trailer, and the fact that unlike the X02 trailer we all remember this one is made in game! Yup, you heard that right, the Halo 2 trailer was rendered using the game engine, but was not made in real time. This one, is rendered in real time on an XBOX 360 dev kit. Pretty impressive, especially those self casting shadows. Yummy!

Naturally Bungie has started up a Halo 3 forum, and as always if you want to really discuss the game you should probably just head over to the HBO forums as they’re generally more interesting, and more informed. Head over to HBO to discuss such things as the relationship between the new trailer and the famed Cortana letters , or just to brush up on your history in preparation for the long wait until 2007.
